Dr. Ron Smith

Dr. Ron Smith, Dentist – obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Alberta followed by a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. He has been awarded fellowships with various professional associations such as the American Board of Oral Implantology, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, and the American College of Dentists. He is a member in good standing of the Canadian Dental Association, the British Columbia Dental Association, and the College of Dental Surgeons of British Columbia, as well as the Pacific Implant Institute, where he was an instructor for several years.

Dr. Smith has over 30 years of experience in implant procedures. These include bone and soft tissue grafting which make it possible to replace missing teeth and stabilize loose dentures thus replicating natural tooth form and function.

He has invested hundreds of hours pursuing post graduate education related to his special interests in implant dentistry, cosmetic and reconstructive dentistry, and laser treatment techniques.

He is Past-President of the Canadian Dental Association; Past-President of the College of Dental Surgeons of British Columbia, as well as former chairman of the BC Dental Economics Committee, a position he held for many years. Dr. Smith has been a board member and board chairman of numerous committees at both the provincial and national level.

Sailing, woodworking, and photography are a few of Ron’s many interests. He is married to Mary Kae and they have two adult children, Adam and Carla.
